Start with the part most guides skip: Apple TV has no web browser, and Apple removed every IPTV player from the tvOS App Store years ago. There is no sideloading switch, no unknown-sources menu, no APK to drop in. This is not a NOVA IPTV limitation. It is the platform, and it is the same for every provider.

Some boxes carry an IPTV player installed before Apple pulled them. If yours opens and then fails, the fix is usually the playlist format. tvOS players choke on a huge list, so trim to a favourites list or add the three Xtream fields (host, username, password) instead of the full M3U. A 12,000-channel file crashes more tvOS players than it ever loads.

Your only native route is AirPlay. Open the stream on an iPhone, then mirror it to the Apple TV. Expect a second of lag and no on-screen guide, because the phone re-encodes everything on the way over. It works for a news loop and falls apart on fast sport.

Most people who want IPTV on an Apple TV end up adding a $30 to $40 Android stick to a second HDMI input. The Apple TV keeps doing what it is good at, and the stick handles the channels, the guide and catch-up. Your NOVA IPTV login works on the stick with no new subscription.

Confirm the account works on a phone first. If the same login streams fine on iOS but not on the Apple TV, the box is the problem and no support ticket can change Apple’s app store policy.
